Hello there!
This month’s been a mixed bag to be honest.
Heatwaves always have an impact on hospitality and generally, we see less of you. Football also means that less people turn up on game days, but it’s not been all bad. Pizza deliveries were up and we did have a couple of fantastic collabs with ADOH! and Taco Collective - we sold out every weekend. Even so, do come into the restaurants, especially in Tufnell Park, where even the kitchen is air-conditioned. Can you believe, it’s cooler in the kitchen than it is outside?
A quiet month also allowed me to look at our menu carefully - the pizzas, small plates, tandoor dishes, drinks - and make the changes we need in order to survive in these difficult times for hospitality. A big change is coming at Tufnell Park as we rework the menu to allow us to focus on our core strengths.
In other news, Nicki joined the team as our Shoreditch manager! She understands hospitality and will bring the necessary experience to take our service to the next level. Neill has also been promoted to manager at Tufnell Park, which I will say is thoroughly deserved. The customer feedback on both sites is excellent and I couldn't be prouder of the work they are doing. So, onwards and upwards to what will hopefully be a milder August.
